historical places in Phnom Penh City

In Cambodia, there are lots of historical places for tourists to see and take a very beautiful photos. Consequently, in Phnom Penh City, there are four attractive places for people to take a look and search some important information such as Olympic Stadium, National Museum, Royal Palace, and Independent Monument.First of all, Olympic Stadium is a very important place for celebrating some important events that related to sports such soccer event; sport committee event; High School competition event like 100 meters running, walking; Takwan Do event, Badminton event, and Volleyball event. In addition, it is built by one famous Khmer architecture who names Vann Molyvann and he is good at Khmer designing that related to French Style because he studied in France and he is very intelligent person at that time until nowadays. Most of universities in Cambodia have invited him to preside the Architecture Show when they display the students' unreal house or building which creates by plastic materials. In addition, Olympic Stadium is also a popular place for young people and elder people to do exercise there because nowadays, people seems to understand the important of exercises and the regular time for them to meet and take it is in the morning time around 5AM to 8AM and in the evening time, it is around 4PM to 6PM.

The second place is Independent Monument where most of Cambodian people enjoy their night time with their kids there because they will see beautiful lights and colorful water which is built by City Hall. This monument is built by Architecture Vann Molyvann too because he is very famous that time and most of high ranking people knew his ability well. The reason of building this monument because of French Colonization, it represents the number of years that French took over Cambodia Country nearly 100 years which started from 1863 to 1954. The Khner dragon head is represented one year of colonization. In addition, the Kingdom of Cambodia always celebrates the National Day on December 9th every year since it provides Cambodian people to remember the braveness of heroes and heroines who sacrificed their lives to protect and release Cambodia from French Colonization. Furthermore, Cambodia young generation have always protected from colonization again because it never gives benefits to them.

The third place is National Museum where most local people and foreigners go there to see the important statues, sculptures which shown the historical events in each Khmer periods. They can go there to find new information which relevant to their research at university or gaining more knowledge. In addition, this place is a best place where people can keep the valuable Khmer ancients inside because the local authorities are well-prepared from ruining by nature, human actions since a few people try to find and exploit from the head statue by selling them to illegal buyer in Thailand or other countries in order to fulfill their short needs without considering the National Heart.

The final place is Royal Palace where the King of Cambodia lives presently. This place leaves many valuable things and building for many century until nowadays because every king always kept their values inside the palace in order to decorate their place more attractive and lovely. In addition, tourists can go there to take some good photos in the Royal Palace since the photos are really nice and meaningful for them to share this news to other friends in their own country. Everyday, the Royal Palace Gate always earns financial support to repair or build new things in the palace since some parts are old and need to decorate as an old appearance. Furthermore, the tourists can see the important buildings where serve official ranking meeting when there are special events such oath water event in General Election for member of National Assembly, welfare of New and Old Foreign Ambassadors, Donation from rich people to king, and etc.

In conclusion, these four places are really important for Phnom Penh City to lure local people and foreigners to visti Phnom Penh and they will give more benefits for Cambodia Economy such as foreign money flow-in, showing the world that Cambodia is a good destination for tourists, and reduce the amount of poor people in the country.
